A STUDY ON COLLEGE STUDENTS PERCEPTIONS TOWARDS E-LEARNING DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC PERIOD IN THE PUDUCHERRY U.T.

Abstract

The E-learning system plays a vital role in the COVID-19 pandemic period, the study special focus on college students’ perceptions towards E-learning system in the Puducherry Union Territory. The study chosen all the college students to collect perceptions towards E-learning through well-designed questionnaire over to Google forms, the 400 respondents are answered the questionnaire, the collected data were analyzed by SPSS and AMOS software’s. The application of statistical techniques like one sample t-test, independed sample t-test and one-way ANOVA was used. The result shows the student are facing difficulties to attend class and understand the concepts of lessons. To know the E-learning application features are tough. It concludes students are facing struggle in the E-learning during the COVID-19 pandemic period. The study suggested to University, Government, Education institution, will take necessary steps to solve the drawbacks in the E-learning system during the COVID-19 pandemic period.
