MARKET PENETRATION STRATEGIES TO INFLUENCE THE LEVEL OF IMPULSE BUYING FOR ELECTRIC CARS IN INDIA
Abstract
With the passing of the 73rd and 74th constitutional amendments in India in the year 1993, the structure of governance has changed permanently from a two-tier to a three-tier system with union, state and panchayats/Nagar palikas. However, a necessary condition for the transformation of panchayats into local governments is devolution of powers, resources and functions to them and capacity building among the elected representatives to execute this devolution of power. With this background, the paper analyses the various challenges faced by the local self-government bodies especially the Gram Panchayat Institutions (GPIs). The paper investigates and analyses the various capacity building measures undertaken by various government institutions and its effectiveness in enhancing the governance of Gram panchayats. A sample size of 30-gram panchayats was selected in Nagpur district of Maharashtra state to find out the implementation and effectiveness of various capacity building measures. Through our research and study, we concluded that the Capacity building measures for village governance in Nagpur district of Maharashtra are being properly implemented by the government agencies and are effective.
